Hi, I’m Tim.
I write one essay every two weeks on building an AI-native marketing function — from inside the job, not the sidelines.

I’ve been building since 2000, and I’ve been a serial learner ever since.
Right now I’m CMO at Backbase, the FinTech behind the AI-native Banking OS, used by 120+ banks worldwide. I’ve spent 12 years here, across solutions engineering, strategy, and executive leadership - which means I came at marketing as an operator first. These days I’m one of the people trying to build AI-native marketing from inside a company betting on it.
I write because the playbooks for this shift don’t exist yet — we’re all figuring it out in real time. Every two weeks I share the frameworks, decisions, and mistakes from doing this work at scale, so you can move faster than I did.
I’m a Kauffman Global Scholar ’11 (Harvard University, Stanford GSB, and MIT) and hold a BSc and MSc in International Business & Entrepreneurship from Maastricht University.
